Join HOCA Studio for a bold, behind-the-scenes workshop exploring how indie filmmakers are breaking the rules—and breaking through. Moderated by director and HOCA founder Thang Ho, this conversation uses the cult sci-fi film Coherence as a case study to dive into resourceful filmmaking strategies: writing for the edit, building momentum outside the system, and creating work that lasts without waiting for permission.

This workshop is ideal for independent filmmakers, students, and creatives looking to carve their own path. Featuring guest speakers James Ward Byrkit (Coherence), Jenna Kanell (Terrifier, Spray Bottle), Christian Nolan Jones (Glitter Ain’t Gold), and Tony Poon (The Daniels, Sorry to Bother You).
